Friends & Rewards

Friends & Rewards lets you build two-sided friendship connections in the Noom app.

You can:

  • Connect with existing Noom members, or
  • Invite friends who aren’t on Noom yet — once they join using your link, you’ll automatically be connected.

FAQs

Why should I connect with friends?

Working toward health goals can feel easier (and more fun!) when you’re not doing it alone. Many people stay more consistent when they:

  • Share progress with others
  • Celebrate wins together
  • Receive encouragement during tough moments

How do I connect with friends?

You have two options:

1. Share your invite link

Send your unique invite link to someone you want to connect with. To do so:

  1. Visit Settings > Friends
  2. Click “Add Friend”
  3. Choose how you want to share your invite link (SMS, iMessage, etc.)

Once your friend opens the link and follows the instructions, you’ll be connected automatically.

2. Use someone else’s invite link

If a friend sends their link to you, just open it — you’ll be connected right away.

Note: Some Noom programs do not currently support the Friends & Rewards feature. If you or your friend receive an error message, this may be the reason.

How do I remove a friend?

If you connected with someone by mistake or no longer want them in your friend list, you can remove them at any time.

  1. Open the Noom app.
  2. Tap your profile icon in the top-left corner.
  3. Go to Settings > Friends to view your current list.
  4. Find the friend you want to remove and tap the person icon with a minus sign next to their name.
  5. Confirm removal. Once confirmed, they will no longer appear on your friend list.

What information can my friends see about me?

Your friends can see only the actions you took that earned shared Seeds. Examples include:

  • Banking steps
  • Logging food or weight
  • Completing daily tasks (such as art breaks or face scans)

ℹ️ Seeds are available only in select versions of the Noom app. Availability may vary based on your program and app version.

What your friends cannot see

Noom does not share:

  • Medications used or logged
  • Health insights or medical records
  • Any personal health details beyond basic activity signals tied to rewards
